Universal Orlando
Universal Orlando has made such progress since openning in 1990. It is now a full fledge resort destination. You need at least two nights/three days here to truly appreciate what they have to offer. My personal favorite is Islands Of Adventure. The sites, sounds, colors, characters and, of course, the rides are out of this world. You will also want to stay at one of their three on-site resorts: Royal Pacific, Hard Rock Hotel or Portofino Bay. This will give you many benefits such as "front of the line" ride access all day and all night. Just show your hotel room key and advance to the front of the line--very nice indeed! CityWalk is home to many fabulous restaurants including the world's largest Hard Rock Cafe, Emeril's, NBNA City, Latin Quarter, Pat O'brian's, Motown Cafe and my favorite...Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville! You have to go there. It is an experience and children will love it (and all those fellow parrotheads and children at heart). The food is reasonable and delicious (really, is there any other place to get a TRUE CHEESEBURGER)? The music is great, the staff friendly and there is even entertainment most nights. There is a small cover charge after 10pm, however, this is covered in your CityWalk Party Pass.

Quick Tips:
The best time to visit Universal Orlando is between September-mid November and then the first three weeks of December as well as the middle and end of January. Sundays also seem to be slower then early in the week. Make sure you go on the Spiderman ride at Islands Of Adventure. It will blow your mind. And those who are prone to motion sickness--don't worry. It is VERY smooth. You should also try and take the boat from Citywalk to one of the three on-site resorts. All offer great restaurants and shops.Universal Orlando
